As Form One students start reporting to various Secondary schools across the country tomorrow, Vihiga Governor Dr. Wilber Ottichilo has flagged off 158 bright but needy students who secured slots under the Governor’s Scholarship Program.
Speaking during the function at the County headquarters, Dr. Ottichilo said the scholarship includes shopping, pocket money, transport to school, and fully paid school fees.
The County boss took the opportunity to congratulate the students for performing well in their Primary School exams, urging them to maintain the same spirit and even improve as they proceed to the next level.
Since its inception in 2019, over 700 students have benefitted from the governor’s scholarship program.
Going forward, His Excellency has assured that his administration will continue sourcing for more partners so that the students can be fully supported in their post-secondary education.
