Vihiga County Teams Shine in KICOSCA Games in Meru
Vihiga teams shine in (KICOSCA) games at Meru booking early tickets to semi and quarter finals.
Vihiga basketball men’s team will be battling out in the semi-finals against the defending champions Kisumu after their exemplary win against Kericho, Nakuru, and Machakos. Basketball ladies have proceeded to quarter-finals after knocking out Machakos basketball ladies.
Handball team Vihiga men have made it to the semi-finals after playing against Nairobi, Kiambu, and Nyamira in group stages. Smashing Nyeri County in the quarter-finals by 24-12 goals gave them a direct ticket to the semi-finals.
The netball team is flying the County’s flag high to the quarter-finals where they will be facing the Nairobi team after sending Machakos back home with 26 goals against 11 goals.
Vihiga football team proceeds to knock out stages after Thier 4-1win against Elgeyo Marakwet, 4-0 win against devolution team, and sending Nandi County home with a 2-1 win at Meru University B grounds.
Volleyball men make Thier headways to pre-quarter finals where they will play against Kilifi after winning against Machakos and Turkana 3-1each. Vihiga volleyball ladies will be packing thier bags back home after they lost against Uasin Gishu and Tana River County teams.
Both tug-of-war men and women proceeded to the knockout stages, The ladies pulled down Mombasa and lost against Uasin Gishu while the men got an easy win after they rolled Thier game against Kwale and were awarded points after the disputed game against Machakos.
Vihiga County Choir is left to spectate other teams as they left the stage at 86 points. Members of the dance team left the stage at position 5 after performing a Mulele dance borrowed from Uganda.
