𝗣𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝗥𝐮𝐭𝐨’𝐬 𝗗𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲

Governor Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo today hosted His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto in Vihiga County on a development tour of various development projects.
𝗜𝗻 𝗘𝗺𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆
The president assessed the ongoing construction of the Kenya School of TVET Ebunangwe which will help in the development and implementation of curricula in response to the demands of the labor market.
He promised Ksh. 100 Million to the institution that will train more TVET tutors and trainers in a bid to broaden practical and technical skills training opportunities for our youth.
𝗜𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝗯 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆
The President officially commissioned the 90-bed ward bloc at Emuhaya Sub-County Hospital.
He acknowledged the good work of Governor Wilber Ottichilo especially in the health sector, putting Vihiga on the National map by taking the lead in the immunization of Children and also in the war against malaria. He promised to compliment the county government’s efforts by:-
✅ Equipping Emuhaya Sub-county hospital
✅ Cost sharing with the county government on Remuneration of Community Health Promoters (CHPs) stipend to a tune of 45 million every year
✅ Making Vihiga County a model for Universal Primary Healthcare Coverage promising to digitize CHPs before the end of the year.
𝗜𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝗯 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆
Officially Commissioned the Affordable Housing Project at Vihiga to ensure that our people access quality, spacious, clean, safe, and secure dwelling places at an affordable cost Vihiga is the second most densely populated county.
Also toured Vihiga County Referral Hospital (VCRH), the ongoing construction of Hospital Plaza, and commissioned CT Scan Centre at the facility.
𝐈𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐛 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲
The President officially launched the Mago – Lusui Road at Mago in Sabatia. The road is critical as it connects Vihiga and Kakamega counties. His Excellency the governor affirmed that the County Government of Vihiga will continue collaborating with the national government as we all serve the same people.
